54NIN, the abandoned building of the former telephony company RTT, is a technological fossil that will be demolished to guarantee yet another gentrification. Fixed telephone lines are getting disabled systematically. Smartphones and apps dominate. Digital data is stored in the cloud. AM and FM broadcasts are getting obsolete. The skyline of Ninove stifles the Breugels hinterland. However, airwaves will last forever .... While exploring online world receivers, the artist recorded more than hundred fragments of various ghost signals that are permanently broadcasted by phantom radio stations.
