Once started as an online bookstore, Amazon.com is one of the largest internet-based retailers of diverse products in the world. This American e-commerce giant was founded in 1994.

Arapaima gigas (also known as pirarucu), a species living in the Amazon River basin, is threatened with extinction. It is one of the world's largest freshwater fishes.

Following Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and yearly inventory day, three digital collections of specific photos concerning the Arapaima were produced as the Amazon Trilogy. All photos were found by using Google and Amazon.com.
