DELAY

On a stainless steel bar the artist wrapped 23 pieces of tape (w: 25 mm) behind each other. Each time he entered his studio, he removed one of the tape pieces and painted the removed part with high gloss lacquer. He repeated this action 23 times. The first part that was removed has got 23 layers of paint. The part where he removed the last piece of tape, has only got one layer of paint. During 23 times there was a delay before the artist could start working.
