The Flemish expression “zijn kat sturen” (not showing up) translates to “to stand someone up” or “to not show up” in English. It means deliberately failing to attend an appointment, meeting, or exhibition opening. The artist designed a special postcard so he can "send his cat" to the openings of exhibitions in which he himself is participating.
