INFINITY FRIENDSHIP JUKEBOX

 

At the request of the curator of the exhibition “Sonische Scène” (Sonic Scene) to ask seven sound artists to compose a sound work for the listening station “Infinity Friendship Jukebox,” I created seven avatars that functioned as “stand-ins” to remix seven of my own compositions from the past. These avatars were given names that referred to parts of a building, each in the language of their supposed origin. The listening station was located in an empty, restored octagonal pavilion. This late 19th-century to early 20th-century pavilion, popularly known as the “pigeon tower,” originally served as a cart shed. Later, it was used as a stable and storage space. 7 digital mp3 files / 2025.
